Mechanical scrapers Type S

APPLICATION

The STS are designed for cleaning the casing or tubing’s inside walls from mud, cement, rust, scale, paraffin, perforation burrs and other obstructions.

CONSTRUCTION

The Mechanical Scraper is a one-piece tubular mandrel with box and pin connecting threads on top and bottom ends. The mandrel has six die type blades with hardened edges installed into longitudinal slots. Each blade has three compressed springs generating force to press the blades to the surface to be cleaned. The blades are located on the mandrel in two levels (three blades each) and provide 100% cleaning of the pipe inside surface. The blades are mounted into the slots by a split ring secured by four screws. Cleaning of the pipe string is achieved by lowering the scraper connected to drill pipe or tubing into the well and the scraper blades cut any obstructions from the walls of casing.

• Assembly name and nominal size;
• Version (LH or RH);
• Size of pipe to be cleaned;
• Type of connecting thread if other than stated in the table;

It is recommended to order

Blade - 12 pcs. (2 sets) for each size of pipe to be cleaned;

Split ring - 2 pcs.;

Spring  - 36 pcs. (2 sets)

Securing screw for split ring - 8 pcs.(2 sets)
