Releasing Spears Type TVPM and TVPM-1
Application
The STS Releasing Spears Type TVPM and TVPM-1 are internal catch fishing tools designed to retrieve tubular items from oil, gas and exploratory well bores.
Construction
The basic Releasing Spear consists of a mandrel, top sub, bull nose nut, dies, diestock and release mechanism. The catching process is carried out by dies moving into mandrel grooves type “dovetail” and locking between mandrel and tube inside. Dies moving synchronization concerning spear mandrel is carried out by having the die stock with grooves in which dies are placed and mounting on the mandrel limiting axial moving. The top end of the diestock of spears type TVPM is fixed in the bottom box of release mechanism intended for moving and fixation up not contacting with string. Release Mechanism acts by spear moving down up to the contact of top end with bottom box end of the release mechanism and further spear rotation. Release Mechanism of spears type TVPM-1 is fixed with the bottom end of the diestock and has friction dies for coupling with fishing string.

- Assembly name and size;
- Version (LH or RH);
- Mandrel connection thread if other than stated in the table;
Recommended to order:
- 3 (three) die set for every spear type TVPM;
- 2 (two) friction dies for every spear type TVPM-1
