Riber Mills type 21F and 22F
APPLICATION:
The Riber mills are designed for casing cutting with the purpose to drill a new stem during workover in oil, gas and exploratory wells.
CONSTRUCTION:
The Riber mill consists of the body made from high-strength alloy steel and surfacing from tungsteen-carbide intruded into a brass-containing matrix. Cutting elements are welded in the shape of stripes. The upper end of the body has the connecting thread, the bottom and taper side surfaces have holes provided effective cooling and intensive washing for retrieving chips.
The Riber mills are manufactured in two types differed by the body side surface form and cutting elements placing.
The Riber mill type 21F have cutting elements on taper and cylindrical surfaces of the body, Riber mill type 22F have elements only on taper.
The Riber mills type 22F designed for working intp 5 3/4" OD casings and more diameters are supplied in a set (3 mills). The process of side-track operation is carried out by running oversized riber mills.
When ordering, please specify: Assembly name and nominal size;
OD if other than stated in the table;
Version (LH or RH);
Type of connecting thread if other than stated in the table;
Tungsten carbide grains size (fine, middle, large – depending on material to be milled);
Additional requirements to the mills design if needed.
