Unit for Packer Drilling Type URP

APPLICATION:

The Unit for Packer Drilling and retrieving Type URP is designed to catch by packer bottom end or shank mounted under the packer and retrieve packers type ПРО-ЯМ2-ЯГ-1 or “Omegamatic” from casing strings during fishing works in oil, gas and exploratory wells.

CONSTRUCTION:

The Unit for Packer Drilling and retrieving Type URP consists of milling unit and catch unit (which are used assembling or separately. The junk basket might be included into the assembly. The milling unit consists of top sub and washover shoe covered with tungsten carbide intruded into a brass-containing matrix and designed for packer dies milling. The catcher unit consists of the catcher connected to the top sub of milling unit with the help of extender.

As extender may be used pump rod, tubing or drilling pipes depending on ID inlet packer or shank under packer.

Extender length is changed depending on packer assembly length. The catcher basket grapple has external lug on the bottom end and is designed to catch packer or shank by bottom part. The catcher bull nose nut may have cutting covering. The Unit for Packer Drilling and retrieving Type URP is lowered into the well to retrieve packer. The catcher moves through packer and goes from the bottom end. The cutting surface of washover shoe mills packer dies, the packer moves down and is caught by the catcher and the assembly is retrieved from the well.

The Unit for Packer Drilling and retrieving Type URP might be disconnected from the packer in the well.
