Washover Shoes
Application
The Washover Shoes are designed to mill away metal objects, cement, cemented metal pieces in string-borehole annular space during fishing jobs in oil, gas and exploratory well bores.
Construction
The Washover Shoe consists of tubular body made from high-strength alloy steel and sintered tungsten-carbide particles intruded into a brass-containing matrix. The Shoes are manufactured in various designs:
Shape of the upper part of the tool body:
- Type 11F – with face for welding;
- Type 12F – with connecting thread;
- Type 13F – with boring for threading;
- Type 14F – with tool joint thread.
Shape of the cutting-milling edges of bottom end surface:
- Type 1 – plain;
- Type 2 – corrugated;
- Type 3 – tapered;
- Type 4 – teethed;
Shape of cutting-milling edges wall:
- Type A – flush-mounted with the body;
- Type B – outjutting;
- Type C – injutting;
- Type D – jutting out & in;
Shape of inside and outside surfaces of the middle part of body
- « » – Plain;
- Type K - with longitudinal grooves on outside surface and with spiral grooved on inside surface; (is not available for mills 14F)
When ordering, please specify:
- OD of Washover Shoe Body;
- ID of Washover Shoe body;
- Body length (400… - 800 mm);
- OD of cutting-milling soldering;
- ID of cutting-milling soldering;
- Shape of cutting surface of soldering (plain, corrugated, teethed, tapered);
- Type of connecting thread and version (LH or RH) if order mill with thread;
- Tungsten carbide grains size (fine, middle, large);
- Additional requirements to the mills design if needed.
- Depth of washover part for mill 14Ф (400mm, 600mm, 800 mm).
