Set of tools type OT2 for cutting a rat hole in casing

APPLICATION:

 

The set is designed to mill a rat hole in casing and side tracking. A rig rotor or power swivel is used as a gear. Before launching the layout requires a cement bridge at the site of cutting a "window".

 

CONSTRUCTION: 

 

A set consists of:

1. Whipstock  is designed for deviation the cutting tools from axis of the main well bore during cutting a rat hole in casing. Whipstock with mechanical setting on bottom.

2. Starting mill is designed to cut a rat hole in casing and side tracking. 

3. Watermelon mill is designed to widen walls in cut rat hole.

4. String mill is designed to widen and calibrate walls in cut rat hole.

5. Flexible sub is designed to connect a watermelon mill with a string mill and provide reduction of set. It reduces inflexibility.

6.Retrieving hook is designed to pull out the whipstock of hole.

 

Features of set OT2:

 - setting on cement plug;

 - set with three mills;

 - Orientation with GYRO or MWD;

 - Non-retrievable.
