Set of tools type OT5 for cutting a rat hole in casing

APPLICATION:

 

The set is designed to mill a rat hole in casing and sidetracking. A rig rotor or power swivel is used as a gear. The indentifying feature of the present set is ability to orientate the whipstock after hydraulic packer setting.

 

 

CONSTRUCTION:

 

A set consists of:

1. Whipstock with hydraulic packer is designed for deviation the cutting tools from axis of the main well bore during cutting a rat hole in casing. The whipstock construction allows, when it necessary, to pull the whipstock out of the hole. 

2. Starting mill is designed to cut a rat hole in casing and side tracking.

3. Watermelon mill is designed to widen walls in cut rat hole.

4. Flexible sub is designed to connect a watermelon mill with assembly.

5. Retrieving hook is designed to pull the whipstock out of hole.

 

Features of the set:

- Setting on hydraulic packer;

- Set with two mills;

- Orientation with GYRO or MWD;

- The mechanical anchor provides max tightness of the whipstock to the casing wall;

- Ability of two stages setting: "Preliminary setting - orientation - final setting";

- Retrievable and Non-retrievable variants are available.
